Child and Spousal support

One of the more important things to remember about spousal support is that it is not capped at 25% of your income. Spousal support can reach a maximum between 50 and 65% depending on the individual being garnished. 50% is the max if the garnishee already is supporting another child/spouse, 60% is the maximum if the garnishee does not have any dependents, an additional 5% can be garnished if the garnishee has accumulated 12 weeks of backed payments.
